The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows skilled workers to immigrate to Canada if they have the education, skills, and work experience to contribute to a specific province or territory’s economy. Each province has its own streams targeting different groups such as students, business people, skilled, and semi-skilled workers.
The application process varies depending on the stream chosen and can follow two paths:
- Express Entry Process:
- Step 1: Check eligibility for the PNP and Express Entry.
- Step 2: Apply for a nomination from the province or territory.
- Step 3: If nominated, update your Express Entry profile to receive 600 additional CRS points.
- Step 4: If invited, apply for permanent residence.
- Non-Express Entry Process:
- Step 1: Check eligibility for the PNP.
- Step 2: Apply for a nomination from the province or territory.
- Step 3: If nominated, apply for permanent residence online.
